Just don't drink from it. Most solder is composed of about half lead. There are safer solders you can get that use more expensive, or higher melting point alloys though - stick with the non-toxic battery cubes. But very neat effect!

give Kipkay tooooooo much credit. His ideas are not Enique or new or anything of that category. he gets his "ideas" from another site,i know wich one because i once posted a sciece project there and two months later,he came up with a vid and he got the credit for it. i dont think thats fair,but i dont care. believe me,hes not original. he just has the time to put up the vid and get the credit that way...

I like your skepticism, it's good for creativity. Not everything I shot people like, as you can tell when you see my other videos. Don't worry about what others say, you don't like it, so you don't like it.

I like browsing on Metacafe and other sites, and I don't make many videos myself as well I work and that takes up most of my time.

But the people that make the videos (if the video is good enough) deserves some credit for their video, and yes even the ice cube video above.

does NOT upload all the things he has here in metacafe to make magazine...he has a few in makemag which are in metacafe, but not all the ideas are his...he does use a few from make and uses them in metacafe. he is original in a few thing...(i take back what i said in the last comment), but not all of his ideas are original. besides, in these time no idea is original anymore. if you have a "NEW" idea, you were probably influence by another...

I'we actually seen something like this before on a themeparty and as decoration there were a lot of glasses with blue LED's and icecubes in them ( not freezed in, just in the same glass) and it looked real cool in a dimmed room....

LED's dont put off any heat...very very minimal at most and def not enough to melt in 5min.! either way trying to drink out of it would prob give you a shock, nothing more. just looks neat

you can buy them there, their very cheap! well depending on the size you want but all that ive seen well under a dollar!
